I absolutely loved this place! It has an old house vibe that made me feel like I had stepped back in time, without losing the comforts of the modern world. It's very cosy and welcoming, and SO beautiful. The location also, is quite convenient with the city centre in walking distance. My room was quite big and comfortable, with a lovely view, and I loved all the furniture and decorations. John is a wonderful host and you can tell he truly cares about his place and keeping it looking its best. Oh and the breakfast available all day was wonderful. Especially when we went on tours that left very early. I am truly in love with this place, and highly recommend it, if you like this style of accommodation.

The Edinburgh Gallery was a great find, and John was a terrific and helpful host. The location was perfect and within a few blocks of the city and Salamanca waterfront. Parking was included at no extra charge which I've found is rare in Hobart CBD. The room was spacious and welcoming and I'd give it a ten out of ten for cleanliness. Bed linen was crisp and pillows comfy, and the electric blankets were much appreciated. The complimentary breakfast was perfect and we were welcome to use the kitchen at any time to make a drink, although our room had tea and coffee making facilities. We'd definitely return on our next trip to Hobart if there's a vacancy.

Amazing place, so cosy and super friendly host! This was the ultimate cosy place to land in hobart and will absolutely always stay there from now on when I return. Really cosy room for our family, we where so comfortable with our toddler he could have a nice big bath at the end of a cold day. It felt like just staying in someones house as the interiors are beautiful and homey and the house itself is really beautiful. There is amazing antiques and art everywhere to be inspired by. Great breakfast and easygoing setup which was really comfortable for us. 10/10! Thanks!

This accomodation epitomises the laid back feel of Hobart. The host, John makes it feel like home. The breakfast is second to none and caters for all dietary requirements. Our room looked over Mt Wellington and had a comfy bed, a couch and tea facilities in the room. The Wifi was good and daily papers were available to read. This was our third visit and I see no reason to change. The location is a short walk to Salamanca, Battery Point and the CBD, and slightly longer to North Hobart. Buses pass by the front door.

We stayed a week and loved it. The location was central to everything. The house is beautiful in its history. John was welcoming and helpful. The rooms and beds were extremely comfortable and warm in the depths of the Hobart winter. The breakfast room was amazing, every need had been thought of and the food was delicious. We have found our new place to stay in Hobart. Oh and the parking excellent especially as one of our party is disabled. Finally it was SO clean, the cleanest place we've ever stayed
